Hart (Austin J. Hart Memorial Scholarship Fund)

Key Criteria:

  • Available to Colorado State University students or graduating high school seniors with documented residency in Larimer or Weld counties, Colorado who have been accepted to, and will attend, Colorado State University, intend to pursue a business degree, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, community involvement, and hard work.

The Austin J. Hart Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado to honor Austin’s legacy of selflessness, integrity, hard work, courage, ambition, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Applicant must:
• Be current Colorado State University students *or * graduating high school students with documented residency in Larimer or Weld counties, Colorado who have been accepted to, and will attend, Colorado State University.
• Intend to pursue a business degree, broadly defined and not limited to a particular college within CSU. (Example: An economics degree at CSU is currently part of the College of Liberal Arts.)
• Demonstrate one or more of the following: entrepreneurial experience/activities, meaningful work experience (including, but not limited to, self-employment), participation in athletic programs, charitable work and volunteerism, and/or adventurous endeavors.

*Preference will be given to applicants who meet all three criteria.
*Students may only receive this award once; past recipients may not reapply.
