Logan County Nurses Scholarship Fund

Applicant must:
- Reside in Logan County
- Have passed all nursing prerequisite courses and been accepted into a nursing program working toward an ADN, BSN, or MSN
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, to be verified by the submission of a current transcript

Applicants must submit an essay that describes their ambitions and goals, the educational steps they plan to take to reach those goals, reasons why they feel they merit consideration for a scholarship award, and any other information they feel will accurately present them to the selection committee. The applicants will be scored on how clearly their essay articulates this information and the extent to which their essay demonstrates the ability and desire to be successful in the nursing industry.

A letter of recommendation is also required from a person not related to the applicant that addresses the applicant’s character, personality, likelihood to succeed in the industry, purposefulness, and reasons why the applicant should receive this award. The applicant will be scored on the extent to which the letter demonstrates confidence in the applicant’s ability and desire to be successful in the nursing industry.
