Dean and Vay Lousberg Scholarship Fund

The Dean and Vay Lousberg Scholarship Fund was established at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado to help aid in the financing of continuing education for graduating students from North Eastern Colorado high schools who wish to pursue additional schooling. Students may only receive this award once; it is not renewable.

Applicants must:
- Be a student who is graduating or has graduated from one of the following high schools: Haxtun High School, Sterling High School, Caliche High school, Fleming High School, Merino High School, or Prairie High School. Applicants do not have to be current graduating seniors; students who have graduated from one of the aforementioned high schools and are already enrolled in continuing education may still apply.
- Have financial need
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Be graduating or have graduated from one of the aforementioned high schools.

  1. Please confirm that you plan to/have graduated from the above schools.
  2. My cumulative unweighted GPA is at least a 3.0, and this is confirmed by the transcript that I have uploaded.
  3. Financial need is a factor for this scholarship. Please upload the first page (Student Aid Report) of your FAFSA in PDF format.
  4. Write an essay sharing your future plans and explain why you should receive this scholarship. (Please do not include your name in your response).
